Every team in the league needs a 6th man that comes off the bench and continues the play established by the starters. They provide energy and pickup the team when they are down. Teams count on that 6th man time and time again to re-energize the team when it’s necessary and to keep the energy going when it’s already at a high
level. The Portland Trailblazers are slightly different…. they have two 6th men. They have a traditional 6th man on the court and the have the Blazers 6th Man Team off the court, in the area and across the state of Oregon. Trailblazers fans are recognized nationally as the most enthusiastic, loudest and most-knowledgeable about their team and the game of basketball in general. When the team is down, the Blazers 6th Man Team brings them back. When the Blazers are flying on the court the Trailblazers sixth man team is the hype squad that keeps the energy level rising to even taller heights and makes sure to keep it there. Here on the web and in video media and beyond, the Portland Trailblazers 6th Man team, known for their viral Smash the Suns Van video during the 2009-2010 season, provide videos, interviews, blogs and articles on what’s happening in the world of the Portland Trailblazers. At times fun, and other times informative, the Blazers 6th Man Team gets the job done. Come back and check us out often. Rip City is on the UpRise! Won’t you join us?
